There is such great depth in what is at first glance a commonplace moment. A perfect example of Elliot Erwett’s quote: “To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
Has he found what he has been looking for as he stares intently at what’s on that board? Or is he captivated by her smile, her happiness? The thing about interpretation is that it has no end and can be vastly different and still be right.
